Occupational Health Director

Location: Normal, Illinois
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Salary: $100,000 $ 125,000 annually

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Director to lead and support clinic staff at an onsite health center in Normal, IL. This role is responsible for overseeing daily clinic operations and ensuring the effective delivery of employee health, safety, and wellness services.

The selected candidate will collaborate with HR, leadership, and safety teams to promote a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations to ensure efficient, high-quality care
  • Manage clinic scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
  • Develop and implement employee wellness programs (health screenings, immunizations, stress management, etc.)
  • Support employees with chronic conditions, mental health concerns, and work-life balance initiatives
  • Promote preventative health strategies to improve productivity and reduce absenteeism
  • Partner with safety teams to identify and mitigate workplace health risks
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, HIPAA, and applicable regulations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
  • Monitor and analyze workforce health trends and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage workers compensation cases, medical leaves, and return-to-work programs
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance carriers for effective case management
  • Lead employee health education and engagement initiatives
  • Supervise and mentor clinical staff, including nurses and medical assistants
  • Provide training on best practices and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align clinic services with organizational goals
  • Track key performance indicators and report outcomes to leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data and feedback

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in practice management
  • At least 3 years of occupational health experience required
  • Bachelor s degree in Health Administration, Nursing, or a related field
  • RN preferred
