Supervisor APP - Prompt Care

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supervisor Advanced Practice Providers - Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for communicating, implementing and monitoring the operational tactics which are geared toward achieving the strategic objectives of OSF, through direct leadership and oversight of advanced practice providers (APPs). Through strong working relationships with physicians, APPs, administrative leaders, and clinical and support staff, ensures the provision of quality care delivery and standardized efficient operations in accordance with OSF and regulatory requirements in the assigned work environment.

Serves as a role model of the OSF Leader Competencies. Positively supports and conveys the OSF vision and Key Results and demonstrates the OSF Leader Competencies on a continual basis. Leads change and implementation efforts within the assigned work environment. Supports a culture of continuous improvement and conveys the need for change to Mission Partners, so they can see the vision and reason for change.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Master's degree as a Physician Assistant

Experience:

2 years of experience as an advanced practice registered nurse or physician assistant. Licensure/ Certification:
License to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the applicable state. Board certification as PA by appropriate accrediting body. Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Ability to successfully lead and motivate a workforce. Professional knowledge of advanced practice theory, practice and administration in order to supervise the planning and implementation of care and ability to prepare necessary analyses, reports, policies, and budgets at a level acquired through completion of an advanced practice degree program

Doctoral degree as a Physician Assistant (PA)

Experience:

Leadership experience in an integrated delivery health system. Licensure/ Certification:
Certification in area of specialty
