Expected pay for this position is $21.72 - $25.55/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview This job is located in Normal, IL 8:00am - 4:30pmPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Access Coordinator will serve as a dedicated escalation point for multiple functional areas and determine the appropriate outside resources that are required to support escalation. This position has a significant understanding of the revenue cycle and the importance of evaluating and securing all appropriate financial resources for patients to maximize reimbursement to the Health System.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
High School/GED - Other
Licenses/Certifications:
Required to complete all role specific revenue cycle training and certification within 12 months - Experience:
1 year of direct experience in a revenue cycle or medical setting - Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Education:
Enrolled or completed course work in a healthcare related field through an accredited college or university - Experience:
2 years in an office clerical setting or customer service environment - Licensure/
Certifications:
HFMA CRCR certification - Other skills/knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of CPT4, ICD9/10, HCPCS, and modifiers. Knowledge of medical terminology
