Position Overview
The Echocardiography Technologist oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflow in the echocardiography laboratory. They perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic tests, assist physicians and sonographers, and ensure high-quality echo cardiographic exams.
Position OverviewThe Echocardiography Technologist oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflow in the echocardiography laboratory. They perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic tests, assist physicians and sonographers, and ensure high-quality echo cardiographic exams.
Qualifications & Skills- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification from CCI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
- Associate's Degree in Sonography or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in performing various echo tests including stress, pediatric, and transesophageal echoes
- Strong technical skills in imaging, positioning, and documentation
- Team-oriented with compassionate patient care
- Perform routine and complex echo cardiographic procedures following departmental guidelines
- Ensure imaging quality and review patient data for accuracy
- Accurately document studies and charges in relevant systems
- Administer contrast agents when appropriate
- Participate in call rotations, providing timely and quality studies
- Continually seek to enhance knowledge through learning and collaboration
