Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join an Operating Room team. The Surgical Tech will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support safe, efficient patient care throughout the intraoperative period.
Responsibilities:- Function as a first, second, or assisting Surgical Technologist.
- Maintain strict sterile and aseptic technique during procedures.
- Independently scrub basic surgical procedures.
- Assist with OR setup, room turnover, supplies, and equipment.
- Provide appropriate care for obstetrical patients.
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Perform and document sterilization and disinfection procedures.
- Clean and maintain surgical equipment and report items requiring repair.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Work effectively as part of the perioperative team.
- Apply problem-solving skills during surgical procedures.
- Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience
- Ability to independently scrub basic surgical procedures
- Knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative practices
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with computers, robotics, lasers, electricity, and chemistry
- Strong patient-care and teamwork skills
- Associate Degree in Surgical Technology OR
- Certificate of completion from a Surgical Technology program
Certifications:
- BLS – American Heart Association
