Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
The Registered Radiologic Technologist provides specialized care in the Invasive lab, performing diagnostic and interventional procedures including cardiac catheterizations, neuro-interventions, peripheral vascular, and radiology cases.
They assist with equipment setup, monitor patient safety, administer contrast material, and ensure accurate documentation.
Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing, or monitoring procedures, troubleshooting imaging equipment, maintaining supplies, verifying patient identification, and explaining procedures to patients to ensure comfort and safety.
They operate imaging and physiological monitoring equipment, achieve hemostasis, and follow safety protocols such as ALARA.
Additional duties involve using adjunctive tools for advanced procedures, assisting with invasive treatments like PCI, embolizations, and cerebrovascular interventions, and supporting staff training.
Qualified candidates must hold certifications including BLS, ARRT Radiography registration, Illinois licensing, and ACLS within a year.
Ideal skills include technical proficiency with imaging and monitoring equipment, patient care expertise, and the ability to work independently, including taking call and floating across departments.
Compensation ranges from $35.62 to $61.27 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.
