About Rivian

Rivianis on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.

As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Role Summary

This role owns business requirements management across three connected domains that keep Rivian's warehouse and manufacturing data operations running:
Warehouse Systems (FLP, SAP, Pace, YMS, EKanban), Master Data (Material Master, SAP EWM Master Data, PFEP, and governance strategy), and Grief (the ongoing operational exception load spanning COGI errors, Over Max exceptions, queue backlogs, and inventory discrepancies). To be successful, this role requires a strong SAP background and hands-on confidence with data analytics to translate ambiguous, cross-system operational pain points into clear, prioritized, actionable business requirements.

This role will be onsite in Normal, IL

Responsibilities

Warehouse Systems & Integration

  • Gather, document, and manage business requirements across the warehouse systems landscape (FLP, SAP, Pace, YMS, EKanban, and new platforms).

  • Translate frontline warehouse operations pain points into functional specifications and prioritized requirements.

Master Data & Governance

  • Own business requirements for Material Master and SAP EWM Master Data governance initiatives, creating clear documentation and governance strategy standards across ERP and EWM.
  • Support PFEP (Plan For Every Part) strategy, ensuring part-level planning parameters are accurately reflected across supporting systems.
  • Translate data-driven process gaps into structured, actionable business requirements.

Grief & Exception Management

  • Own business requirements related to COGI error resolution, Over Max exception handling, queue management, and inventory discrepancy issues.
  • Partner with Warehouse Operations, Material Flow Engineering, and IT to define root-cause-driven requirements rather than one-off fixes.
  • Track, trend, and report recurring scorecards on grief-related metrics and warehouse systems performance to leadership.

Analytics & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Apply hands-on data analytics (SQL, Databricks) to independently investigate, quantify, and prioritize requirements across all domains.
  • Build and maintain traceability matrices linking business needs to system capabilities and measurable outcomes.
  • Present requirement packages, root-cause findings, and recommendations to leadership, Procurement, Planning, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required

    Strong SAP background spanning S/4

HANA (Material Master) and SAP EWM; comfortable working seamlessly across ERP and warehouse execution systems.
  • Data Analytics:

  • Requirements Translation:
Proven ability to translate ambiguous, cross-system operational pain points ("grief") into structured, prioritized business requirements.
  • Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

3-5+ years of relevant experience in business requirements management, supply chain analytics, warehouse operations, or system implementation.
