An American electric vehicle manufacturing company is actively looking for a self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a 9-month CT role with potential for extension or conversion. It is 100% onsite at their Normal, Illinois location and is Monday-Friday first shift.

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on lab test equipment.

• Understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs
• Utilize standard hand tools as well as simple diagnostic tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
• Ability to work in tight spaces
• Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards
• Follow all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions

• Experience in a test environment is a plus
• Experience working around lithium ion batteries is a plus

Daily Responsibilities:

• Identify and source parts, supplies and repair items as necessary
• Observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem
• Dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Repair and/or replacement of defective parts
• Testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems
• Reconditioning and repairing machine tools

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
