$15.30 per hour

Part‑Time (20 hours a week, Monday‑Friday 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM)

• Clean and maintain assigned facilities, locations, or work sites within the standards agreed to in the customer’s contract.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and/or damp mop floors.
• Collect and dispose of trash and litter properly.
• Clean glass (windows, doors, mirrors, etc.) as scheduled or assigned.
• Disinfect and sanitize required areas (restrooms, break areas, etc.) as scheduled or assigned.
• Dust as scheduled or assigned.
• Maintain grounds according to customer contract or as specified by supervisor.
• Ensure consumables (toilet paper, paper towels, trash liners, etc.) are in supply and properly stocked.
• Perform seasonal duties as scheduled or assigned (snow removal, apply ice melt, leaf raking, trim grass, etc.).
• Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of janitorial supplies and assets.
• Ensure equipment used is properly maintained and in good working order.
• Use and follow proper security measures and safety procedures at all times, including universal precautions, PPE, caution signs, equipment safety, etc.
• Change work schedule and/or site as needed to meet contract obligations, if requested.
• Document service delivery for accurate billing per departmental standards.
• Work independently with a minimum of supervision.
• May be asked to perform other duties as required by the employer’s business needs.

• Experience or training in cleaning and/or janitorial services preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as a team member.
• Ability to effectively convey ideas or issues with supervisors and coworkers.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with a good driving record preferred and reliable transportation.
• Current proof of automobile insurance preferred.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather.

The job requires frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, sitting, hand use, climbing, balancing, and lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
