time type essential duties and responsibilities- recruit and onboard new employees, train and coach staff, schedule employee shifts, and strictly adhere to overtime policies; perform activities around employee engagement, performance management, and recognition.
- focus on growing sales volume and increasing site profitability.
- manage operating p&l metrics and understand how expenditures/costs impact business margins and pricing.
- ensure that customers are satisfied and any inquiries, incidents, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- ensure the site follows all approved safety procedures.
- ensure the site follows all approved vehicle damage claim procedures.
- perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- strong leadership and communication skills, including active listening.
- experience with team building.
- excellent sales and customer service skills.
- ability to anticipate customer needs.
- proficient computer skills.
- strong work ethic and professional attitude.
- high school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a management role. Candidates with supervisory or assistant manager experience from a big‑box environment or auto industry, car wash, or lube store are encouraged to apply.
an unexpired driver’s license is required. A motor vehicle record check (“mvr”) will be run on the successful candidate post‑offer.
physical demandsthe employee must frequently stand and walk throughout the workday; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stop, crouch, and kneel. The employee must be able to work in damp and humid conditions, and outdoor variable weather conditions. The employee may need to lift or move objects up to 25 lb regularly and occasionally up to 50 lb.
working environmentthe incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others. The position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment. Noise level is usually moderate, but can be excessively loud; hearing protection and other ppe are required. This person must adhere to osha safety guidelines and protocols and wear personal protective equipment such as hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.
