Summary
Under the general direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Team Member assembles finished product using sub‑assemblies, parts, and fasteners according to the customer specification sheet and Adient’s ODSs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Check standard operating procedure to determine required assembly, quality checks, and any special options.
- Check stock bins for adequate supplies of sub‑assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the particular run.
- Check for designed carton pack. Notify material handler if a shortage exists or incorrect parts are in bins.
- Check operating controls and safety stops on conveyor.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub‑assemblies per customer order.
- From experience, resolve assembly and packing problems. Report other problems to maintenance or supervisor for assistance.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policy.
- Perform 5S cleanup activities daily.
- Evaluate color.
- Abide by the company handbook regarding safety rules and job rotations.
- Report unsafe conditions and unsafe acts, and participate in safety/ergo committees, safety training events, blue‑sky initiatives, safety audits, and safety observation feedback events.
- Assist the plant in achieving safety goals and objectives.
- Participate in plant‑wide meetings, line meetings, department meetings, and training exercises.

Education Preferred- High School Diploma or GED
5‑8 years’ experience in a production environment with evidence of increased responsibility a plus.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Candidate can write routine reports and correspondence.
Reasoning AbilityCandidate can apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
