Overview
This RN will assist with admission and discharges on all patient units as needed. RN will float to different units based on discharge/ admission needs. Need will be determined by the house supervisor on unit where RN will be deployed.
QualificationsCertifications:
Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR);
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA),
Education:
H.S. Diploma/GED,
Work Experience:
Performs all essential job functions of Registered Nurse (RN). Initiates, creates, and maintains a collaborative practice with various physician groups and other units to address patient care issues and achieve optimal patient outcomes. Collaborates to evaluate effectiveness of patient education tools/programs and plans and makes recommendations for modification. Works directly with nurse manager in the areas of strategic planning, personnel management, and unit operation.
Displays creativity by independently developing and implementing an innovative approach to patient population. Seeks out new methods that will improve efficiency. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies. Must demonstrate leadership skills beyond the unit. Skilled at IV starts. Recognize quick change in patient status and respond appropriately. Assist with codes.
The compensation range for this position is $36.8 per hour - $59.89 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
