Job Title: Registered Nurse – Mandatory Mandatory Mandatory Mandatory Mandatory 1‑Year Commitment
Unit Details: 30‑bed inpatient oncology unit serving patients 18 years and older. Mandatory mandatory mandatory mandatory nurse‑to‑patient ratio 4‑6:1. Primary duties include inpatient chemotherapy, radiation, palliative and end‑of‑life care, and general medical patient support.
Benefits & Compensation- Sign‑on Bonus $10,000 (3‑year commitment)
- Relocation assistance: $5,000 within 100 miles; $2,500 for distances 50–100 miles
- BSN Bonus $2,500 for external applicants and RN with 1 year experience
- Perform all duties required by the unit within the scope of service.
- Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate documentation of nursing care to support the healthcare team.
- Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop a plan of care aligned with unit standards and patient/family needs.
- Implement the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
- Modify the plan based on continuous evaluation.
- Communicate directly and privately with others when required to resolve issues.
- Provide essential patient care duties such as head‑to‑toe assessments, IV insertion, NG tube insertion, dressing changes, medication administration, Foley catheter insertion, and Mediport access and maintenance during shifts.
- Maintain documentation standards, evidenced by passing quarterly chart audits.
- Offer emotional support to patients and families.
- Administer chemotherapy/bio‑therapy to oncology and non‑oncology patients throughout the hospital.
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience, preferably in oncology or related critical care.
- Proficiency in inpatient chemotherapy and radiation, palliative and end‑of‑life care, and general medical patient care.
- Strong documentation skills; ability to pass quarterly chart audits.
