Job Summary

This position is an integral part of our dining operations staff. Led by experienced culinary professionals, we offer staff the opportunity to work in newly-renovated facilities and are committed to using quality ingredients and processes. These positions play an integral role by utilizing the individual's food service talents to support a variety of different food service operations. Duties may include cashiering, maintaining the dining room, washing dishes, serving meals to customers, and assisting in food production and sanitation.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$15.25 per hour

Required Qualifications
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts and days off, up to 28 hours per week.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and take work seriously.
  • Display a positive attitude at all times.
  • Must be able to provide friendly and inclusive customer service to all guests of the University.
  • Work in a cooperative manner.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Applicants must be currently legally authorized to work for Illinois State University in the United States.
  • Work Hours

    Wednesday through Sunday, 2:00pm – 8:00pm

    Functional Expectations
  • Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
  • Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
