Job Position:
Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional for a Dispatch Position in Normal, IL. Must be able to work weekends and any shift, type at least 40 words per minute accurately, and earn $25.00 per hour. Great Opportunity for Veterans!

• Heavy customer service background; dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to clients, employees, guests, and visitors.
• Monitor all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems via provided monitoring systems.
• Efficiently multitask and handle multiple software programs simultaneously.
• Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones, 2‑way radios, and intercoms.
• Accurately document routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities.
• Make emergency notifications in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Strictly adhere to client policies, procedures, and standards.
• Proactively monitor all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs; respond to all security/life safety system alarms.
• Serve as the liaison between all departments and the security department.
• Handle complaints and unusual/critical event information without delay, following procedures.

• 21+ years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more of the following:
• Service in Military Branches or Police.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 2 years of work experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center (PSAP, 911).
• 2 years of verifiable data entry experience.

• Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Google Applications.
• Ability to quickly analyze high‑stress situations and properly communicate events.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency.
• Effective communication skills.
• Remain calm in the face of adversary or elevated stressful situations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills.
• Flexible working schedule to include nights and weekends.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Typing speed of 40+ words per minute accurately.
