Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol Driving Operations in Normal, IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Security Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as part of this driving post, monitor access points, and help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service.

- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
