As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Patrol Driver in Normal, IL

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor alarm systems, and respond to security-related concerns.
This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.
Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Mon: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
- Thur: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, parking locations, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site requirements.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with site personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders when needed.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
