Position will remain open until filled.
Water Distribution Responsibilities- Replacing water meters and meter reading devices.
- Perform landscaping and maintenance duties.
- Cleaning and painting fire hydrants.
- May be responsible for any utility worker duties.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Illinois driver's license.
- Ability to learn the operation and maintenance of all equipment and procedures within the division.
- Some knowledge of heavy duty trucks, tractors and maintenance equipment.
- Some knowledge of general construction.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and other Town employees.
- Physical ability to perform a wide variety of manual labor in a wide variety of inclement weather, especially as it relates to the back, legs and arms.
- Ability to maintain various records of the division.
Graduation from standard high school or equivalent, or a vocational school and some experience in manual labor and driving a commercial motor vehicle.
