Warehouse Associate

Overview

Our Warehouse team members are responsible for receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory. Richards Building Supply is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our Normal, IL location. Forklift experience is desired. Exterior building material knowledge helpful.

• Receive materials in the warehouse and process inventory.
• Load trucks and ensure materials are secured for delivery.
• Provide warehouse support including shipping/receiving and order pulling for walk-in customers.
• Double-check all loads for accuracy and compliance with weight and DOT requirements.
• Communicate with co-workers, vendors, and customers as needed.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, bend, and twist throughout shift.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Adherence to all safety policies and use of required safety equipment.
• Work Monday through Friday with potential overtime during peak periods.

• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs; occasional lifting over 100 lbs.
• Load trucks with materials for the day’s deliveries in accordance with securing and weight limits per DOT regulations.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Ensure loads are accurate and securely prepared for delivery.
• Good driving record.
