Experienced Accounting Professional
Location: Near Norman, OK
Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually (DOE)
Position Overview:
Specialized Recruiting Group is currently staffing for an experienced, detail-oriented Account Manager to join a growing finance team. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with experience in real estate accounting
, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
The Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and providing financial insight to support both company operations and client financial health. This position requires the ability to work independently while also serving as a resource and mentor to lower-level Account Managers.
Quick Books Online experience is required
, and Tax Dome experience is a plus
. This role will also serve as a backup for payroll as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial reporting
- Review work completed by lower-level Account Managers and communicate findings to management
General Ledger & Accounting Operations
- Maintain accurate general ledger records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
- Support real estate accounting functions, including property-level reporting and reconciliations
Compliance & Tax Support
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and financial regulations
- Assist with sales tax filings and other required tax reporting
Staff Training & Oversight
- Assist in training and onboarding new Account Managers
- Serve as a first point of contact for accounting questions from junior staff
- Monitor training progress and report improvements or gaps to leadership
Process Improvement & Analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
- Lead or support implementation of process enhancements
- Prepare financial analyses and ad hoc reports to support management decision-making
Additional Duties
- Provide backup support for payroll as needed
- Complete additional accounting tasks within scope as assigned by management

- Experience with Tax Dome is a plus

- Handle sensitive financial and personal information with strict confidentiality
Adaptability & Reliability
- Respond effectively to shifting priorities and urgent requests
- Consistently meet deadlines and follow through on responsibilities
- Availability during peak periods (such as tax season) for extended hours when necessary
Education & Experience
- Degree in accounting preferred
- 3+ years of accounting or account management experience
