Staff Accountant

The Role

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process while helping take work off the Accounting Manager's plate. This is a hands-on position that's a great fit for someone who enjoys digging into the details, researching general ledger activity, tackling cleanup projects, and learning the ins and outs of a robust accounting system.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month end close
• Prepare journal entries
• Manage fixed assets
• Perform account reconciliations
• Process sales tax payments
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable

Team Structure

This role sits within an established accounting team including a Controller, Accounting Manager, additional Staff Accountants, an Inventory Analyst, and an FP&A Manager, all based in the office.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• New graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply, as are candidates with a year or more of general ledger or staff level experience
• Tech savvy and comfortable learning a new software system
• Strong attention to detail with an interest in GL research and cleanup work
• Team player who thrives in a close knit, collaborative environment
