Our client is a growing public accounting firm seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join its tax team in either the Oklahoma City or Tulsa office.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries while providing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services. The successful candidate will work closely with managers and partners and play an important role in mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, S corporations, trusts, and estates.
- Prepare Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and other related tax filings.
- Research federal and state tax issues and provide practical tax solutions.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and exceptional service.
- Review work prepared by junior staff and provide coaching and technical guidance.
- Stay current with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.
- Work collaboratively with managers and partners to deliver high-quality client service while meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' public accounting tax experience.
- CPA licence or CPA candidate preferred (EA candidates will also be considered).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines during busy season.
- Experience with tax preparation software such as CCH, Ultra Tax, Lacerte, or similar is advantageous.
