Senior Accountant

Connect Search is partnering with a well-established Oklahoma real estate investment and development company to identify a Senior Accountant who wants to do more than simply close the books.

This role was created because the company is looking for a true senior-level accountant who can own work, think critically, and take pressure off leadership by confidently handling complex accounting responsibilities.

You'll work directly with an experienced accounting leadership team and have the opportunity to make an immediate impact as the organization continues to grow.

• Own significant portions of the monthly close process
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Manage complex intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities
• Maintain accounting for a large portfolio of debt and financing arrangements
• Research technical accounting questions and recommend appropriate GAAP treatment
• Assist with annual financial statement audits
• Analyze unusual or non-routine transactions
• Support ongoing Net Suite optimization and process improvements
• Help strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
• Partner with leadership on special projects and operational improvements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 4+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working within an ERP system (Net Suite strongly preferred)
• Public accounting experience is a plus, but candidates should also have industry experience
• Technical accounting research experience is highly desirable
• CPA is not required

• Comfortable working through ambiguity and changing priorities
• Curious enough to understand the substance behind accounting transactions
