Programs focus on increasing opportunities for agricultural enterprises, natural resources and environmental management, food, nutrition, health and safety education, youth, family and community development.

Job Duties

Location:

Claremore, Oklahoma. Provides administrative support for Extension educators located at the Rogers County Extension Office. Works cooperatively as part of the support team housed in the office. Majority of assignments will involve 4-H Youth Development programming.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer software used to complete daily assignments.
  • Perform database entry and management relative to 4‑H youth programming.
  • Assist assigned educators with administrative support functions – phone, greet the public, manage mail, develop and retrieve requested materials, file management, etc.
  • Maintain calendars; assist with travel arrangements and submit travel claims.
  • Understand various OSU, County, and OCES regulations, policies, and office procedures for efficient office management.
  • Work as needed with other county, district, or state offices as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date).
  • No experience required. Starting pay is based upon education and prior relevant work experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties. Reimbursement for official travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent people skills; ability to multi‑task while paying particular attention to details; good organizational skills; strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior work experience in an office setting.
