Position IntroductionThis is a student assistant position supporting the International Student Programs office with administrative and event planning tasks for various international student events and workshops. Responsibilities include managing social media and graphic design primarily; assisting with the implementation of new international student orientation (NISO); planning, promoting, and implementing events and workshops; and performing various other tasks as assigned.
Specific Duties Include- Create weekly newsletters:
Share information about upcoming events and activities happening on campus. - Social media management:
Post event updates, create engaging content, manage story highlights, and ensure consistent event promotion. - Event planning:
Reserve spaces, coordinate catering, and design promotional fliers. - Communication and student support:
Send emails and help students access relevant campus resources. - Collaborate with the International Advisory Committee (IAC):
Provide event support as needed.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate cultural sensitivity, possess strong organizational skills, and communicate effectively with diverse individuals on and off campus.
Required Education And ExperienceMust be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
Skills- International or cross-cultural experience preferred
- Social Media Proficiency required
- Knowledge of Canva
