  • Plan, coordinate, and execute construction activities on natural gas infrastructure mega projects
  • Lead construction managers, inspectors, and support staff
  • Provide oversight during development, design, construction, commissioning, and turnover to operations
  • Supervise front-end development, planning, design and engineering, bid package development, bidding, contractor selection, and construction kickoff
  • Review scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates, drawings, execution plans, and contracts
  • Identify project risks and suggest mitigation strategies
  • Provide direction and leadership to project construction teams
  • Ensure work complies with construction specifications, procedures, standards, contracts, and requirements
  • Support contracting strategy, contractor qualification, capability assessments, and vetting of key contractor personnel
  • Establish working relationships with construction departments and resolve interface issues
  • Facilitate QA/QC inspection programs
  • Resolve quality, staffing, and change-order issues
  • Coordinate workforce planning and career development for direct employees
  • Delegate and coordinate the work of others
  • Assign team members to projects based on skills, experience, and requirements
  • Train and develop team members
  • Review QA/QC staffing plans, construction execution plans, cost/schedule management, and construction reporting plans
  • Establish expectations for safety and environmental compliance
  • Evaluate resource requirements and recommend changes
  • Manage costs through planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and outlooks for natural gas infrastructure construction
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in construction, inspection, or commissioning with power plants, major power generation, and/or energy infrastructure projects in the oil & gas or related industry
  • Up to 75% travel
  • Outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills
  • Safety as the utmost priority
  • Broad understanding of engineering, estimating, and construction management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, contractor procedures, and construction work sequences for plants, stations, and pipelines
  • Understanding of ASME, DOT, API, OSHA, and AWS inspection procedures
  • Experience with earned value, schedule of values, Primavera P6 schedules, and progress reporting
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Science
  • Preferred:
    Fifteen (15) years of relevant construction, inspection, or commissioning experience
  • Preferred:
    Previous managerial or supervisory experience
  • Preferred: FERC project experience
  • Preferred:
    High voltage electrical experience, such as 345kV
