General Description:

The Graphic Designer will assist with conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completion. Will also work to create, update, and refine marketing materials that includes, but not limited to, ads, newsletters, brochures, posters, large displays, booklets, annual reports, magazines and signature pieces for service lines and other related healthcare services.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Achieves and maintains expertise in graphic design software packages including Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat and other software packages including color management. The ability to work with professional printers on pre-press and workflow.
  • Develops art design and layout for media work for pamphlets, illustrative maps, cover art, charts, slides, etc.
  • Assists with the preparation for advertisements.
  • Creates material for a variety of media including print, Internet, and presentations.
  • Works closely with marketing department to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Develops sample styles and work with director/manager to select most effective style.
  • Ensures the proper use of company logos and other designs in all printed and electronic material.
  • Maintains artistic quality and versatility for multiple hospitals and campaigns. Monitors and develops graphic standards.
  • Maintains files for negatives, original artwork and other related work.
  • Tracks, monitors, and suggests ways to improve the creative process and to improve the cost-effectiveness of the graphic/printing process.
General Responsibilities:
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

0 - 3 years of experience, graphic design preferred. Agency experience is a plus.

Licensure/Certification s/Registrations

Required:

None required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of graphic art, photographic and digital imaging processes.
  • Excellent computer graphics software knowledge.
  • Strong creative artistic skills.
  • Knowledge of the printing and advertising process and pricing.
  • Ability to interpret requests from multiple sources.
  • Knowledge of color and its effect on people.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple vendors.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and projects.
