Position Introduction:
The Student Athletics Photographer contributes to the overall vision and goals of Oklahoma Athletics by capturing moments and engaging content that tells the story of our athletics programs and student-athletes through photos. Student photographers assist the Director and Assistant Director of Photography in coverage/support for all photography-related requests and coverage of the University’s 21 varsity sports, collaborating with the creative staffs to elevate departmental initiatives while ensuring a cohesive style across all department photography.
Essential Functions:
- Support and help organize the department’s digital archive, performing accurate editing, correction, and photo
organization - Collaborate with the Director of Photography, Assistant Director of Photography to ensure adequate coverage of games, photoshoots, department events and functions, maintaining a cohesive style across all sports
- Ability to work some nights and weekends with occasional travel to cover events and functions
- Collaborate with other departments such as Communications, Marketing, Sooner Vision and coaching staff to ensure needs are met
Required
Education and Experience:
- Must be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
- Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Department Preferences:
- Photography experience must include in-game photography for various sports
- Knowledgeable of basic photography-related software, including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom Classic
- Adherence to University, SEC, and NCAA rules
