Job Description

The Curriculum Content Developer creates clear, practical, application‑focused instructional materials that support CECPD’s online and classroom‑based training programs. This role transforms concepts, standards, and subject‑matter expertise into accessible learning experiences that help early childhood professionals apply skills in real‑world settings.

Working closely with the Curriculum Coordinator, the Curriculum Content Developer drafts, formats, and assembles curriculum materials that align with CECPD’s frameworks, quality standards, and production timelines. The position collaborates with writers, subject matter experts, editors, and graphic designers to ensure content is instructionally sound, visually consistent, and ready for delivery across CECPD platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Revise Instructional Content
    • Write and edit course materials—including online modules, facilitator guides, assessments, and classroom resources—with a strong emphasis on practical application.
    • Translate theoretical concepts into clear, actionable content for adult learners.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and curriculum team members to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with CECPD standards.
    • Revise content based on feedback, quality reviews, and evolving program needs.
  • Build Interactive H5P Learning Elements
    • Create interactive components (e.g., quizzes, drag‑and‑drop activities, branching scenarios) using H5P to enhance learner engagement.
    • Apply consistent formatting, accessibility practices, and CECPD design standards.
    • Maintain and update H5P content as courses evolve.
  • Format Course Documents Using Templates
    • Apply consistent formatting to Power Points, handouts, and digital learning materials using established templates and style guides.
    • Ensure visual consistency, readability, and alignment with instructional design expectations.
    • Prepare materials for final review, production, and distribution.
  • Support Timely Content Development for Course Requests
    • Respond to curriculum needs by drafting, revising, or preparing content within established timelines.
    • Adapt existing materials or create new content to meet program updates, partner requirements, or emerging initiatives.
    • Ensure all content is accurate, instructionally sound, and aligned with project milestones.
  • Maintain Organized Course Files and Version Control
    • Label, store, and manage course documents in shared systems to support collaboration and accessibility.
    • Maintain version control and documentation throughout the development process.
    • Ensure curriculum files are organized, retrievable, and compliant with CECPD procedures.
