Pay and Compensation
Pay Range: Targeted salary: $11.00 per hour, based on experience
Benefits Eligible: No
Work Schedule: Possible shifts Sunday-Friday, 10:00am-10:00pm
Travel: Not required
Position IntroductionOffice Assistants (OAs) provide front desk reception and student services at the Student Learning Center's locations, including Lissa and Cy Wagner Hall, the Cross Learning Center (Cross Village
A), and various sites across campus.
- Student check-in and check-out
- Checking resources in and out
- Answering questions about SLC programs
- Managing phone duties and session coordination
- Maintaining clean, organized spaces and handling equipment setup and storage
- OAs create a welcoming, inviting atmosphere across all center locations and online sessions.
- They also play an integral role in data collection, tracking every student's visit and performing accurate data entry and corrections in iAdvise.
- New Member Onboarding / Basic Training — Prior to the start of classes (scheduled based on student availability)
- Monthly Training Conference — Once per month on the last Friday (date TBA)
Education and Experience
- Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
- Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
- Must have completed at least 12 undergraduate hours as an OU Norman Campus student.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Technical skills (web-based software, data entry)
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all people
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Awarded Work Study
