Position Summary

The 504 Coordinator and Building Test Coordinator is responsible for overseeing compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, ensuring that eligible students receive appropriate accommodations and supports. This position also manages the administration of all state‑mandated and district-required assessments at the building level. The coordinator serves as a liaison between staff, families, and district leadership to promote access, equity, and accountability in both 504 and testing procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the identification, evaluation, and development of Section 504 plans for eligible students.
  • Schedule and facilitate 504 meetings, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and district policy.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, including parent notices, evaluation data, and accommodation plans.
  • Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, nurses, administrators, and families to implement and monitor 504 plans.
  • Train staff on Section 504 procedures, accommodations, and responsibilities.
  • Stay updated on federal and Oklahoma state legislation and guidance related to Section 504 and ADA compliance.
  • Organize and administer state and district‑mandated assessments, including OSTP, ACT, SAT, and any other applicable assessments.
  • Ensure all testing protocols and security procedures are followed.
  • Develop and communicate a building‑wide testing calendar.
  • Coordinate training for proctors and staff on test administration procedures.
  • Manage secure materials and ensure proper storage and handling of test documents.
  • Submit testing irregularity reports and required documentation to the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE).
  • Collaborate with district testing officials and follow district policies and deadlines.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist Counseling department with messages and communication during high phone traffic periods.
  • Assist with the tracking and documentation of graduation requirements such as FAFSA, CPR, testing, and PFL.
  • Assist counseling department with organizing, planning or documenting other departmental initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field.
  • Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate or school counselor certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in education, preferably in student support or special services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Section 504 regulations and testing administration protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in education, school counseling, or educational leadership.
  • Experience facilitating 504 teams and managing accommodation plans.
  • Experience as a school test coordinator or in high‑stakes testing environments.
  • Familiarity with Infinite Campus and EdPlan.
Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to interpret and apply educational and medical data to eligibility and accommodations.

Terms of Employment
  • Salary determined by the district salary schedule based on education and experience.
