Alpha’s students learn academics in two hours a day through self‑guided, AI‑powered apps. The responsibility of our life‑skill coaches is to lead high‑energy workshops that build public speaking, focus, and feedback skills; motivate students to hit every learning goal using real‑time analytics; and coach the Guides who work alongside you.
Typical day: a one‑on‑one coaching session in the morning, a live workshop in the midday, and motivation and connection sessions in the afternoon.
What You Will Be Doing- Leading one‑hour live workshops on life skills (public speaking, focus, giving and receiving feedback) for K‑8 cohorts, following Alpha’s playbook.
- Running motivation sessions using student analytics and Alpha’s incentive system to drive 100% student goal completion.
- Coaching Guides on program fidelity and standards enforcement, producing tangible improvement actions.
- Maintaining your own student cohort while developing other Guides.
- Tracking student satisfaction scores, goal completion rates, and Guide performance metrics weekly to spot underperformance before it compounds.
- Lecturing or tutoring students on academic subjects.
- Designing curriculum or building lesson plans from scratch.
- Coaching Guides on teaching technique.
- Making exceptions when a student scores 99% instead of 100%.
- Being the “big ball of empathy” for every school; realistic feedback and consequences are expected.
Deliver Alpha’s three promises to every student in your cohort: they love school, learn twice as fast as a traditional classroom, and develop real‑life skills.
