This is a mid-level project position, accountable for implementing and maintaining the Company’s Safety and Health Procedures on a moderately complex project. Performs medium to high complexity tasks and may supervise other safety and health professionals.

• Implement, administer and maintain project Drug and Alcohol Substance Abuse Program; conduct employee safety and health training; conduct detailed site safety and health inspections; manage project security contracts, programs and policies; maintain records; conduct incident and injury/illness investigations; write detailed reports; manage construction contractor safety and health program administration; administer project worker’s compensation programs; act as site first aid/medical provider; supervise and develop direct reports;
  
  support continuous improvement.
• Supervise Safety & Health interns and specialists.

5+ years of safety and health experience.

All applicants must complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle record searches, in compliance with applicable laws.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Safety and health certification;
  Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• 3+ years experience in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of safety and health standards; company substance abuse policies; worker’s compensation policies; construction contracting strategies; safety and health consultation; first aid/medical functions; communication; computer software; report writing; human relations; conflict management; client and government interface.

First Aid, CPR, Drug testing certified, OSHA 500/501, Safety and Health Program Administration, OSHA 10 hour.

Physical Demands:

• Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move, and walk long distances in confined, cluttered, or uneven areas.
• See and hear naturally or with correction.
• Full range of motion and flexibility.
• Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Perform repetitive movements.
• Work above 5 feet in height.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel frameworks, stairs, ladders, scaffolds.
• Work up to a 12‑hour shift under variable temperatures and outdoor conditions.

Work Environment:

• Typical construction site environment; cramped spaces; awkward positions.
• Hot (above 90°F) or cold (below 32°F) temperatures; exposure to dust, wind, snow, rain.
• Bright or low lighting conditions.
• Noise distraction or discomfort.
• Hazardous equipment.
