Capital Projects Engineer

Reviews development plans in respect to the capacity to service the development and meet design requirements of the Engineering and Design Standards for the City of Norman. Plans, administers and monitors municipal projects funded through the Capital Fund; prepares, negotiates and administers contracts with consulting engineers; administers construction contracts; solicits and evaluates bids; prepares agenda items for approval by City Council or Norman Utilities Authority;

prepares and administers budgets; conducts periodic inspections to ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal rules and regulations.
