Shift : 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Job Description

This job classification has been designated as a safety sensitive job classification in accordance with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act, 63 O.S., § 427.1
et seq., (OSCN 2019), effective August 29, 2019. This means employees in this job classification can be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination if they test positive for marijuana components or metabolites, even if they possess a medical marijuana license.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field preferred. Five years of related experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and telemetry; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge and skills.

Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record. Must possess or obtain an Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (OKDEQ) Class D Water and Class D Wastewater Operator Certification the within six (6) months of employment.

Knowledge: Computer data entry;
Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and SQL or other comparable database software. Ability to become familiar with iFIX HMI/SCADA and Historian applications;
Antero maintenance software, OP10 reporting software, and Dream Report Reporting Software; VBA. Hazards and safety precautions of the mechanical and electrical trades.

Skills: Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; speak clearly and persuasively; follow oral and written instructions. Establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team and mutual learning environment. Ability to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to management and employees. Demonstrated ability developing, programming and utilizing SCADA systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions: Manages the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to assure system reliability and security. Performs system backups and archival tasks for programs, graphic screens, tag database and historical database. Maintains security systems and administers system and user passwords. Performs Programmable Logic Control (PLC) program updates and modifications. Maintains maintenance software on programs associated with the Water Treatment Plant and Water Reclamation Facility, water wells, Oklahoma City water vault, Line Maintenance SCADA, and water towers;

maintains operation and maintenance manuals. Provides expertise with interface of water treatment equipment. Gathers data to assist in process evaluations of unusual conditions. Assists with data collection; maintains all data; generates operating and progress reports, compliance reports and budget reports that include graphs and statistical information. Tracks trends and analyzes system inputs, primarily chemical and energy, to monitor operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Provides technical support to field staff for programming and troubleshooting of embedded Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) in process control equipment; researches and selects instrumentation, develops control wiring schematics, and develops control strategies. Develops and updates SCADA Human Machine Interface (HMI) control logic and display screens. Maintains the SCADA and historical databases and graphics interface links. Trains operations staff with emphasis on control logic and interaction between the SCADA system and process control;

provides computer application training to plant staff. Establishes and maintain effective working relationships with Information Technology staff regarding issues associated with the Local Area Network (LAN), LAN security, and other IT issues such as application security, and communications systems.
