Job Summary
Assess patient condition.
Performs MRI/CT exams.
Assists in the maintenance of patient scan information.
Assists in maintain MRI/CT units.
Participates in quality management activities.
Qualifications EducationCompletion of an accredited two-year or four-year program in radiologic technology, accredited by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or the American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT)
ExperienceIn House Applicant:
One year training in MRI. Two years’ experience in CT Scan. Outside Applicant:
Two years’ experience in MRI. CT experience preferred. Requires knowledge of cardiac and peripheral gating, respiratory magnetic resonance imaging, and angiography.
American Registry of Radiologist Technology or American Registry of MRI Technologists registered. Registered in either MRI/CT within 18 months of full-time assignment to MRI/CT.Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment, IV certification required through course or during orientation.
