Make a Difference in the Lives of Youth and FamiliesRed River Youth Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our interdisciplinary treatment team. This role provides clinical and psychotherapeutic services to adolescents receiving residential and day treatment services and their families. The Therapist is responsible for managing an assigned caseload, conducting therapy sessions and groups, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Provide quality clinical and psychotherapeutic services to clients and their families.
- Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and support the facility's treatment philosophy and program goals.
- Oversee all aspects of clinical care and treatment for assigned clients.
- Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions as assigned.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
- Complete ongoing assessments and evaluate client progress toward treatment goals.
- Collaborate with nursing, medical, education, direct care, and other departments to ensure client safety and treatment effectiveness.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of clinical programming and therapeutic services.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and facility policies and procedures.
- Monitor the therapeutic environment and contribute to a positive, safe, and supportive milieu.
- Coordinate care with families, referral sources, and community agencies.
- Monitor customer satisfaction with clinical services and address concerns appropriately.
- Serve as a liaison with referral sources and outside agencies to resolve issues and support continuity of care.
- Report incidents, serious occurrences, and treatment concerns in accordance with facility procedures.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation.
Education
- Master's Degree in Social Work or a related recognized mental health field required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical, behavioral health, or psychiatric setting preferred.
- Active professional clinical license issued by the appropriate licensing board in Oklahoma required (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
- CPR Certification required.
- HWC Certification required, where applicable.
- Strong individual, family, and group therapy skills.
- Knowledge of adolescent development, behavioral health, psychiatric disorders, and evidence-based treatment practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong case management and crisis intervention abilities.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Ability to effectively summarize clinical information in medical records and professional correspondence.
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and within required time frames.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries with clients and families.
This position has access to and documents information within client medical records as necessary to perform assigned job duties. Access is limited to assigned clients and authorized clinical responsibilities.
Work Environment &Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk throughout the facility, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move about the work environment as needed.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Must be able to consistently meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and self-control in stressful, volatile, or crisis situations.
