Clinical Services Assistant Director

Description

The Clinical Services Assistant Director translates clinical strategy into coordinated Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), reporting, wellness, communication, engagement, support group, and cross-program initiatives. This role strengthens consistency across programs while supporting managers with tools, data, and implementation guidance.

This role serves multiple Heart Line programs.
This position requires regular attendance at our Oklahoma City office. To be considered for this role, applicants must reside in Oklahoma.

• Support implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices across programs.
• Provide coordination and implementation support to Clinical Managers and Supervisors.

• Coordinate CQI initiatives, audits, performance improvement projects, and CQI meetings.
• Monitor documentation trends, quality indicators, and service delivery patterns to identify improvement needs.
• Analyze clinical performance data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare CQI reports for leadership.

• Prepare clinical performance reports for leadership and support grant reporting and program evaluation.
• Track KPIs, quality metrics, engagement metrics, and clinical outcomes.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools that support decision-making and performance improvement.
• Ensure accurate collection, analysis, and presentation of program data.

• Coordinate staff wellness, resilience, self-care, recognition, peer support, and post-critical incident debriefing activities.
• Monitor staff wellness and engagement trends and recommend improvements to leadership.
• Coordinate the monthly Clinical Services Newsletter, including content development, staff contributions, engagement tracking, and internal communication improvements.

• Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical training and continuing education.
• Identify system-level training needs through CQI findings, staff feedback, engagement trends, and performance data.
• Coordinate leadership-facing training recommendations related to wellness, resilience, clinical best practices, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention.
• Support coaching, mentorship, and development pathways for supervisors, managers, and emerging clinical leaders.

• Translate Clinical Services Director priorities into coordinated projects, communication plans, CQI activities, reporting routines, and cross-program implementation support.
• Participate in leadership meetings, committees, and internal or external work groups as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Health, or a related field required. Active clinical licensure such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent preferred; candidates under supervision or candidacy may be considered.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of four years of relevant experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, clinical services, or a related field required. Preferred experience includes nonprofit or suicide prevention work, supervisory or program leadership, CQI, staff wellness, clinical training, data analysis and reporting, advanced training in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, trauma-informed care, or quality improvement.

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including coaching, performance management, staff development, and fostering a supportive and accountable team environment.
