Full Time, Atoka County Medical Center is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Registration Clerk to join our team. This position is often the first point of contact for patients and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional experience.

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information
• Obtain required signatures and accurately enter information into the computer system
• Collect copayments and other patient payments, as applicable
• Answer telephone calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
• Communicate effectively with patients, clinical staff, and other departments
• Perform other registration and clerical duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous healthcare registration, medical office, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong computer, telephone, and data-entry skills
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to remain professional in a busy healthcare environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work assigned shifts are required
