Automotive Technician
Position Description: Lube Technician
Position Summary: The Lube Technician is responsible for performing lubrication-related services for customers efficiently and professionally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing quality service.
- Determine management, production, and quality requirements through effective communication.
- Attend required company meetings.
- Maintain a follow-up system to ensure completion of assigned projects.
- Set personal performance goals aligned with company standards and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Review and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly actions to improve time management and planning.
- Stay informed about industry terminology and technological advancements in products and services.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing the business.
- Follow lawful instructions from supervisors.
- Adhere to work rules and procedures.
- Participate in performance management processes.
- Foster positive interactions with colleagues and boost employee morale.
- Uphold confidentiality and non-disclosure policies.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Perform oil and filter services professionally and conduct vehicle inspections as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients, ensuring dependable vehicle care.
- Maintain equipment in good condition and keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.
- Receive and execute service assignments from the service writer or manager.
- Complete lubrication tasks within designated time frames, continually improving efficiency.
- Keep the work area tidy and organized.
- Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and filed after each job.
- Maintain current technical qualifications through ongoing training.
- Ensure vehicles are cleaner upon job completion than at drop-off.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Educational: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Preferred but not mandatory.
Special Skills: Ability to read and understand instructions, professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and meet production and quality standards.
Qualifications: Must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Must be able to move throughout the facility, stand for extended periods, walk, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, squat, lift over 50 lbs., and reach overhead. May work outdoors in various weather conditions.
