The Senior Project Manager for Facilities & Operations leads day‑to‑day coordination of research lab renovations, space modifications, and equipment installations while supporting ongoing facilities operations, including F&A space utilization management, equipment inventories, work orders, and vendor coordination. This role serves as a key liaison between the Office of the Vice President for Research and Partnerships, Facilities Management, contractors, and academic units, tracking dependencies, escalating issues, and maintaining clear communication across all project stakeholders.
The position also develops and maintains project documentation, schedules, tracking tools, and standard operating procedures to improve transparency, reduce bottlenecks, and strengthen the institution's capacity for long‑term research infrastructure management. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President for Research Facilities, Security, and Operations.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline relevant to the area of specialty
- 6 years of related experience
Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one‑to‑one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.
