Manager, Sooner Advanced Manufacturing Lab (SAML) The Manager for the OU Sooner Advanced Manufacturing Lab (SAML) core facility is responsible for the day-to-day organization and coordination of SAML. Working in close collaboration with the Faculty Director, researchers, and key stakeholders, internal and external, the successful candidate will be the point of contact for all building operations, including facility tours, events and daily business.

This role manages access coordination, logistics, and event setup while overseeing the hauling, delivery, and inventory of supplies and materials. Additional responsibilities include acting as liaison to Facilities Management, responding to building issues such as power outages, providing technical expertise to faculty and students, and assisting with event planning and class presentations. This is a hands‑on, varied role well suited to a highly organized professional who thrives in a dynamic campus environment.

This position will report to the Assistant Vice President for Research Facilities, Security, and Operations.

Required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree.
  • 36 months minimum of experience in facility management or project management.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months related experience.

Required Certifications and Licenses: Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.
