Job DescriptionDirect and oversee a team of highly skilled colleagues who manage the division’s most complex operational tasks. Responsibilities include problem solving, decision making, process improvement, change implementation, cost efficiencies, and applying analytical skills. Develop customer‑friendly solutions, meet service level standards, and maintain productivity and quality metrics for direct reports. Recruit, mentor, and develop team members. Implement industry best practices for standardized procedures, provide input on budget and cost efficiencies, and ensure compliance with company, division, and department requirements.
Provide coaching and technical leadership to direct reports, including succession planning, new processes, system enhancements, and product knowledge integration.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university in Business, Finance, Marketing, or Leadership, or equivalent leadership experience with 4 years of job‑specific experience and 2 years in a leadership position.
- Strong technical and analytical skills; in‑depth knowledge of insurance products and services.
- Proven tactical and technical skills, including diplomacy and decision‑making ability.
- Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects and people.
- Proficiency with PC, Windows‑based software, and Microsoft Office applications; adaptability to new software/technology and a paperless environment.
- Advanced knowledge of operational processes and state and federal regulations; experience with IRS Code Section 125, qualified retirement accounts, supplemental medical and/or disability claim processing, and case‑management tools.
- Advanced leadership, coaching, diplomacy, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle a fast‑paced environment and be professional, prompt, and reliable.
- Proven bilingual skills (verbal and/or written) may be required, at least 50% of the time.
