A Bindery and Printing Operator is expected to have an advanced working knowledge of the printing process and the area‑specific equipment and production techniques (pre‑press, press, bindery, and/or warehouse). The primary function is to produce simple to complex products using the products, tools, and machines available in the bindery area.
Essential Duties- Advanced operation of area‑specific production equipment
- Production of products to established standards
- Maintaining quality standards at all times
- Following established procedures for time and cost reporting
- Be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Collect, maintain, and organize accurate job data from multiple sources
- Be able to work on an independent basis
- Accept training from supervisor and other lead operators on new equipment
- Meticulous attention to detail and ensuring quality control
Required Education and Experience
:
High School diploma or GED, AND:
- 36 months of advanced printing and duplicating experience related to digital and offset printing.
Skills
:
- Basic math and computer skills
- Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
- Read and understand complex written materials such as blueprints, metrics, or technical manuals
- Able to work independently
- Detail‑oriented for quality production
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

- Physical
:- Ability to engage in repetitive motion. Exposure to physically demanding tasks. Lifts 50 lbs. or more occasionally, bending and stooping
- Environmental
:- Regular exposure to noise and odors
