The Role

Are you a skilled operator with a "fix-it" mindset? We are looking for a Machine Setter / Packing Operator to join a major production facility specializing in high-quality pet nutrition.

This isn't just about standing on a line; it’s about taking ownership of your asset. You’ll be responsible for setting up packing lines, making technical adjustments to parameters, and ensuring the product is palletized to the highest standards. If you have a background in Food or FMCG and enjoy a role where you can use your initiative to solve downtime issues, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Machine Setting: Setting up and running packing lines, including product feed and bagging.
  • Technical Adjustments: Fine-tuning settings to ensure the line runs at maximum efficiency with minimum waste.
  • First-Line Maintenance: Once trained, you’ll undertake basic maintenance tasks alongside the shift engineers.
  • Stock Management: Using the site’s stock system (CEMEX) to create finished product and WIP records.
  • Quality & Safety: Conducting technical checks and ensuring a "clean as you go" environment.
  • Logistics: Transferring finished products to the warehouse via FLT.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: A solid background in Manufacturing (Food, Pet Food, or FMCG is highly preferred).
  • Certifications: Food Safety Level 2 and an awareness of BRC standards.
  • Safety First: IOSH Working Safely is a plus—we want you to leave work in the same condition you arrived.
  • Attitude: A "can-do" approach. You don't just see a problem; you seek the solution.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using stock control systems and adjusting machinery parameters.
  • Team Player: Someone who works well with peers, Shift Managers, and Engineers.
Why Apply?
