We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials and supplies while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight manually or using material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Verify shipments for accuracy, quality, and quantity against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
- Prepare, package, wrap, and ship materials and supplies according to established procedures.
- Deliver and retrieve materials from work areas, storage locations, and designated departments.
- Tag, issue, stock, and organize inventory while maintaining accurate inventory rotation practices.
- Receive, store, and ship materials, including flammable, caustic, and other hazardous substances, in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance and care of material handling equipment as needed.
- Support warehouse and inventory operations by performing other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED,or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years work experience in manufacturing setting
- Intermittent skills with the latest versions of MS Office:
Word, Excel, and Outlook - Ability to use and access information on a computer
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others.
- Experience with inventory data entry and inventory management processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and production workflows.
- Flexibility to work overtime or extended hours as business needs require.
- Commitment to maintaining and supporting a zero-incident safety culture

- Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps and use ladder.

- Ability to push/pull using 100lb of force.
- Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Vision to accurately read all related distribution documents and computer monitor screens.
