Perform equipment sterilization functions within the fill-finish manufacturing area. Using cGMP techniques, clean, prepare, and sterilize small equipment to support filling operations. Maintain strong housekeeping standards, complete process-specific documentation accurately and completely, and follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Participate in training and consistently apply cGMP principles in assigned work. Read and adhere to Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS) guidelines for all chemicals and materials used.
HoursSwing Shift, Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm. Overtime, weekends and holidays may be required.
Position Responsibilities- Reprocess small equipment: receive used parts, segregate, disassemble, clean, inspect, and prepare for sterilization.
- Operate and maintain ultrasonic bath cleaning (set-up, cycle parameters, solution changes, basic troubleshooting, log completion).
- Assemble small equipment/component kits per approved work instructions, BOMs, and visual standards.
- Perform sterilization support activities (e.g., load/unload autoclave, packaging/wrapping, labeling, indicator placement/verification, quarantine/release flow per SOP).
- Complete GMP documentation accurately and in real time (logs, batch/support records, equipment cleaning/sterilization records, label reconciliation).
- Perform inspection for cleanliness, damage, missing parts; elevate nonconformances.
- Maintain controlled storage areas for clean/sterile items (organization, status labeling, 5S).
- Coordinate with Manufacturing to prioritize urgent needs while protecting compliance (communicate turnaround times, confirm priority changes, prevent mix-ups).
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respirators.
- Follow gowning, aseptic/cleanroom behaviors (as applicable), safety procedures, and good documentation practices.
- Use all types of communication (i.e., verbal, phone, e-mail) in dealing with customers, peers, and Team Leader while maintaining a positive and professional attitude as required in the daily operation of the department.
- Demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality.
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- General understanding of microbiology and cGMP preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic Microsoft application and computer skills
- Ability to recognize product quality issues based on company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of metric system.
