Perform daily activities related to the manufacture and packaging of pharmaceutical products while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized environment.

  • Use master production records, specifications, and standard operating procedures to manufacture pharmaceutical products in accordance with cGMPs as defined in CFR, title 21.
  • Perform basic maintenance and problem-solving on equipment within responsibility.
  • Begin understanding how to work with support personnel and departments in the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Follow safety rules and guidelines in accordance with Avara SOPs and common sense.
Quantitative Dimensions:
  • Work daily inside of a complex manufacturing process, directly impacting on the quality and on-time delivery of global products.
Organizational Context:
  • Reports to Area Manager
Qualifications:

Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language (statement common to all Job Description s)
  • Strong attention to safety.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems and adjust equipment as needed to maintain the required production rates and quality.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and rotate a variety of containers weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to perform same function for items weighing over 50 lbs, with assistance. Assistance with items weighing over 50 lbs is required.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb as many as three flights of stairs repeatedly during a shift of work.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and perform work elevated above ground level.
  • Must have the visual acuity to perform visual inspections to identify particulates as small as 100 microns.
  • Must be able to perform work while wearing required personal protective equipment, i.e., respirators, gowning, eye protection, rubber gloves, arm protectors, safety shoes, and hearing protection where needed.
