Compensation- $13.21-$21.58/hr depending on previous work experience.
- Evening differential $1.50/hr.
- Night differential $1.75/hr.
- Weekend differential $1.75/hr.
The Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) at Norman Regional Health System is a fast paced, critical care environment providing specialized, high-acuity care to patients with cardiac conditions, both pre- and post-procedure. In addition to caring for patients undergoing a wide range of cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and Micra-pacemaker insertions, and cardiac ablation, we also care for patients hospitalized with a variety of cardiac diagnoses.
Job Summary- Provides basic patient care
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
- Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse
- Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures
- Facilitates processing of patients
- Provides clerical receptionist support
- Provides Coordinating Support
- Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department
- High School diploma or equivalent GED.
- Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure/Certification- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
