Licensed Practical Nurse - PM Shift

About the Position

We are currently looking for talented Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Adult Inpatient departments. The position involves providing direct or indirect professional nursing services in various settings, including nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health‑related education, case management, and execution of the medical regime, including administering medications and treatments prescribed by any person authorized by state law.

• Providing technical direct and indirect nursing care in a hospital under the supervision or direction of a registered nurse or licensed physician
• Offering health care to patients experiencing severe emotional disorders, psychiatric illness, or substance abuse
• Performing crisis intervention and collaborating with psychiatrists, therapists, and other nurses
• Preparing medication and distributing it on the unit

• Full‑time shift position; 12‑hour shifts (rotating schedule: 6:30 pm – 7:00 am)
• Annual salary $50,500.00 – $60,000.00 plus holiday, shift differential, and benefits
• FLSA status:
  Non‑Exempt

• LPN III:
  Valid permanent Oklahoma license as a Licensed Practical Nurse and at least two years of practical nursing experience; or eNLC license and at least two years of experience
• LPN II:
  Valid permanent Oklahoma license and at least one year of experience; or eNLC license and at least one year of experience
• LPN I:
  Valid permanent Oklahoma license; or eNLC license
• Strong commitment to patient well‑being and safety; belief that recovery is possible

• Conditional offer: submit to a physical examination that includes lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and exerting a maximum force of 25 pounds
• Willing and able to undertake job‑related travel; a valid driver’s license is required

Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH), located in Norman, Oklahoma, serves all 77 counties as a Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults. GMH is a 120‑bed acute psychiatric hospital that provides inpatient care for persons aged 18 and over with severe mental illness, as well as substance‑abuse services.

Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime. Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity. Employees must be available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
